MUSCAT : His Excellency Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, said the Sultanate of Oman has advanced to fourth place globally in quality of life, ranking higher than any other Arab country and underscoring the progress achieved in living standards and social wellbeing.

Speaking on the achievement, Al Saqri said the ranking reflects the strength of Oman’s quality-of-life indicators and the effectiveness of national development policies.

He stressed that the assessment was conducted independently and without any intervention from the Sultanate.

“This classification is carried out by an international organization, and Oman does not interfere in this classification,” he said.

While welcoming the outcome, Al Saqri said the ranking should serve as a catalyst for further progress rather than complacency.

“This achievement reflects the strong standard of living in Oman; however, our responsibility is to continue enhancing and improving it, rather than being content with the result,” he said.

The remarks come as Oman continues to pursue economic diversification and social development goals, with improving quality of life remaining a core pillar of national policy.
