Salalah: Wadi Al Nile Exhibitions & Festivals Organizing Company has announced the launch of the first edition of the Dhofar Medical Expo, scheduled to take place from 25 to 28 June 2026 at Salalah Grand Mall. This milestone initiative aims to strengthen Dhofar Governorate’s position as an emerging regional hub for the healthcare and medical tourism sectors, under the patronage of the Directorate General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health in Dhofar Governorate.

The exhibition coincides with the start of the Khareef (monsoon) season, a period that attracts significant tourist inflow to the governorate. This strategic timing creates a strong linkage between the tourism movement and the rapid growth of the healthcare services sector.

Mr. Fadi Zuhair Al-Haj, Authorized Director of Wadi Al Nile Exhibitions & Festivals Organizing Company, stated:

“The Dhofar Medical Expo represents a qualitative addition to the governorate’s specialized events calendar. Through this exhibition, we aim to bring together leading local and international healthcare institutions under one roof to showcase the latest medical technologies, provide direct consultations to visitors, and strengthen medical collaboration bridges between the Sultanate of Oman and countries around the world.”

Mr. Al-Haj further explained that the exhibition will host hospitals and medical centers from Malaysia, India, Thailand, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and several other countries, alongside leading Omani healthcare institutions. This international participation reflects the global medical sector’s interest in the Omani market and highlights the event’s international dimension.

The exhibition is expected to attract a wide range of visitors, including healthcare professionals, industry stakeholders, and patients seeking advanced treatment options. It will provide a direct platform for communication with consultants and hospital representatives, as well as insights into the latest medical services across various specialties, including specialized surgery, advanced treatments, preventive medicine, and medical tourism.

The expo will feature dedicated exhibition booths, direct medical consultations, and extensive media coverage to ensure maximum outreach to audiences both within and beyond the governorate.

Wadi Al Nile emphasized that organizing this event aligns with its vision to support economic diversification and enhance Dhofar’s status as an investment destination in the healthcare sector. This initiative is in line with national strategies aimed at boosting investment in vital sectors and fostering sustainable international cooperation.

The Dhofar Medical Expo is expected to serve as a strategic platform for medical dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the development of long-term partnerships, contributing to the advancement of the healthcare ecosystem and the improvement of service quality for the community.
