Muscat: Reinforcing its commitment to advancing national initiatives, cultural vitality, and sustainable community development, Sohar International has announced its partnership with Muscat Municipality as the Main Partner of Muscat Nights 2026, one of the Sultanate’s most prominent cultural and entertainment festivals. Running from 1 to 31 January 2026, the month-long festivities will take place across multiple locations in Muscat, offering a diverse calendar of cultural, artistic, and entertainment experiences. The festival serves as a unifying platform that brings communities together, celebrates Oman’s rich cultural heritage, and further strengthens Muscat’s position as a dynamic and vibrant cultural destination.
Commenting on the partnership, Abdulwahid Mohamed Al Murshidi, Chief Executive Officer of Sohar International, stated: “At Sohar International, we view our role as extending beyond banking to actively supporting initiatives that contribute to social cohesion, cultural enrichment, and economic participation. Our partnership with Muscat Municipality for Muscat Nights 2026 reflects this commitment by creating a comprehensive season that integrates entertainment, culture, sports, and economic activity across the governorate. Through this initiative, we aim to stimulate domestic tourism, encourage community engagement, and unlock new developmental opportunities, while reinforcing Muscat’s positioning as a distinctive winter destination—fully aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and its objectives for economic diversification and sustainable growth.”
As the Main Partner, Sohar International will actively contribute to the festival, providing strategic support, financial backing, and on-ground engagement. The Bank’s involvement highlights its commitment to fostering meaningful social connections and supporting national initiatives that have long-term societal impact. During the festival, Sohar International hosts a dedicated booth at Al Qurum Park, where visitors can interact with the Bank, explore its services, and participate in activities that enhance the overall festival experience.
Muscat Nights 2026 will feature events at key locations across the capital, including Al Qurum Park, Al Amerat Park, Quriyat, Seeb Beach, the Royal Opera House Muscat, Wadi Al Khoudh, the Oman Automobile Association, and selected commercial centres. Each venue will host a range of activities, from live performances and interactive workshops to family-friendly entertainment and cultural showcases, providing opportunities for broad public engagement and participation. The festival’s diverse programme reflects Oman’s vibrant culture and offers a platform for artists, performers, and creatives to connect with a wide audience.
Through this partnership, Sohar International continues to advance its broader agenda of supporting inclusive growth, strengthening community engagement, and contributing to initiatives that promote social and economic resilience, in line with Oman Vision 2040.
