WASHINGTON : Reports surged on outage-tracking portals as both the mobile app and website appeared to be hit by widespread technical issues.

A significant spike in complaints was recorded on Downdetector, where more than 10,000 users reported problems by 5:20 PM. The disruption affected all major access points, the web version (x.com) and the mobile applications on both Android and iOS.

According to Downdetector’s data, the mobile app bore the brunt of the outage, with 61% of users flagging app-related issues. Meanwhile, 28% reported problems with the website, and 11% cited server connection errors, pointing to a platform-wide technical failure.
