MUSCAT : According to Saeed bin Abdullah Al Balushi, Director General of Al Buraimi Industrial City, the projects span several sectors including battery manufacturing, iron production, tire recycling and other industrial activities, reflecting the growing diversity of investments within the city.
He noted that the total volume of approved cumulative investments in the industrial city reached approximately RO 267.2 million by the end of the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, the total leased area has exceeded 1.7 million square metres out of the city’s total developed and leasable area of more than 4.5 million square metres.
Al Balushi added that Madayn is currently implementing several infrastructure development projects under the National Industrial Cities Development Project. Among them is the addressing project, which aims to name and number streets and roundabouts within the industrial city. The initiative is expected to improve traffic organisation, facilitate access to different locations and ensure easier movement for emergency services, visitors and service providers while enhancing the city’s unified visual identity.
In addition, Madayn has recently introduced a new investment opportunity for an integrated fuel station in the second phase of Al Buraimi Industrial City. The project will be developed on an area of around 10,000 square metres and will include fuel and diesel stations, a motel, retail outlets, vehicle maintenance facilities and a car wash. The facility is expected to provide essential services to industrial city visitors and road users while supporting economic activity in the area.
Meanwhile, authorities in coordination with Madayn are continuing work on the dualisation of the Mahdah–Al Buraimi road, a strategic infrastructure project that will serve as a key link between the Wilayat of Mahdah and Al Buraimi Governorate. The road will also connect both phases of Al Buraimi Industrial City, providing dedicated entry and exit points and improving movement between the two phases to better serve investors.
