MUSCAT : A telephone conversation took place between His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Maxime Prévost, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, within the framework of the friendly relations and cooperation between the two nations.
During the call, His Excellency Sayyid Badr welcomed the Belgian government’s decision to open an embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in the Sultanate of Oman, describing the move as a positive step toward strengthening diplomatic engagement and expanding avenues of collaboration.
The two ministers also discussed a number of recent regional and international developments, exchanging views on issues of mutual interest and reaffirming their commitment to dialogue and cooperation.
For his part, the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister expressed his country’s support for Oman’s mediation efforts and all diplomatic initiatives aimed at promoting security and stability in the region.
