MUSCAT : A group of Omani citizens has arrived safely in the Sultanate after authorities facilitated their transfer from Iran, according to a statement issued by Oman Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry said the evacuation was carried out in coordination with Oman’s embassies in Tehran and Istanbul, as well as with relevant authorities in Azerbaijan, as part of organised arrangements designed to ensure the safe and smooth movement of the citizens.
Officials said the coordinated effort allowed the group to travel under secure conditions before arriving in Oman.
The ministry added that additional batches of Omani nationals have also reached the country safely from other Gulf Cooperation Council states through land border crossings.
Authorities said efforts are continuing around the clock, in coordination with relevant entities and Omani diplomatic missions abroad, to facilitate the gradual return of citizens while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
