Ankara: Speaking at a joint press conference in the Turkish capital, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Turkey continue to deepen across political, economic and investment spheres.
He noted that the discussions reflected the advanced level of bilateral cooperation and built on the positive momentum generated by the visit of His Majesty the Sultan to Turkey in 2024, followed by the Turkish President’s visit to Oman in late 2025. These high-level exchanges, he said, helped align perspectives and reinforced a shared commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership.
H.E. Sayyid Badr added that the talks also covered key regional and international developments, with particular focus on the Palestinian issue. Both sides stressed the urgency of an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the need to ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid, and support for a political process that leads to a just and lasting peace.
For his part, Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, praised the robustness of Turkish-Omani relations and commended Oman’s constructive role in promoting dialogue and bridging differences. He affirmed Ankara’s keenness to further enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination with Muscat in support of regional security and stability.
