MUSCAT – The Muscat Nights 2026 events, launched on January 1, have attracted around two million visitors, highlighting the season’s remarkable success in combining entertainment, culture, and economic opportunities. The series of events created approximately 500 jobs for Omani job seekers.
Organised across 24 main and secondary locations, the festival featured 168 events designed to appeal to diverse segments of society. Qurum Natural Park emerged as the most popular venue, hosting nighttime drone shows that created moving light formations inspired by Muscat’s cultural identity. The park also featured the Light Festival, which transformed its lake into an open-air theatre with water fountain shows synchronized to music and smart lighting, alongside the interactive Candy Land attraction.
Al Amerat Park ranked second in attendance, offering visitors experiences such as the Heritage Village, showcasing Omani identity in a modern context, and a craft market highlighting traditional industries and supporting local families.

Cultural offerings included 25 activities across 11 locations, featuring the Cultural Village, visual arts pavilions, and art exhibitions. Sports enthusiasts enjoyed 13 local and international tournaments, including the Muscat International Nights Billiards and Snooker Championship, the Muscat International Chess Championship with 270 participants from 35 countries, the Twelfth International Shotokan Center Karate Championship, and the Oman International Drift Championship.
Theatrical performances formed a key entertainment pillar, with 12 diverse shows – including comedy and children’s plays – staged at seven locations throughout Muscat.
