MUSCAT : The weather system, is still affecting the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar, bringing sustained rainfall that has led to overflowing wadis and streams.

According to Hilal bin Salem Al Hajri, Head of the Forecasting and Early Warning System Department at the Civil Aviation Authority, the system has begun to gradually recede in several northern and central regions. These include Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, Muscat, and Al Dakhiliyah.

However, its impact is expected to persist in the eastern and southern parts of the Sultanate through today, with a complete receding forecast by Sunday morning.

Monitoring stations under the Civil Aviation Authority recorded significant rainfall levels across multiple wilayats over the past 24 hours. The Wilayat of Al Kamil Wal Wafi recorded the highest rainfall at 70.6 mm, followed by Jaalan Bani Bu Ali at 62.6 mm, Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan at 60.6 mm, and Sadah at 50.6 mm.
