Muscat: Clouds are spreading over the coastal areas overlooking the Sea of Oman and parts of the Arabian Sea coast, extending inland to parts of the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. Meteorological observations indicate continued thundery rain activity over the Sea of Oman, with rainfall expected to gradually extend towards coastal areas in the coming period.

Radar imagery shows intermittent rainfall persisting over parts of the Sea of Oman coast and the Arabian Sea coastline, with conditions favourable for continued precipitation. Meanwhile, fog formation has been reported over parts of the Al Wusta Governorate, potentially affecting visibility.

According to Oman Meteorology, the latest weather charts and numerical forecast models indicate that the Sultanate will be affected by scattered rainfall of varying intensity on Wednesday and Thursday (January 7 and 8).
