MUSCAT : The Ministry of Labour, in an official statement issued on March 23, confirmed that both civil service units and private sector establishments may adopt remote working arrangements, provided their nature of work allows and they possess the necessary operational capabilities.

The directive applies to all governorates across Oman, with the exception of Al Wusta and Dhofar, which remain unaffected by the current weather conditions.

The move comes as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety amid the impact of heavy rains and flash floods reported in several regions. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely while urging residents and institutions to remain vigilant.
