MUSCAT : Oman will celebrate the first day of Eid Al Fitr on Friday, March 20, 2026, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs confirmed on Thursday evening.
The announcement followed the meeting of the moon-sighting committee, which convened to observe the Shawwal crescent and determine the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Eid Al Fitr, one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar, is marked by special prayers, family gatherings, and charitable giving.
The Ministry extended its greetings to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, citizens, residents, and the wider Islamic world on the occasion.
