MUSCAT – In a statement, the Royal Hospital said symptoms such as severe dizziness or fainting, persistent vomiting, confusion, extreme fatigue, chest pain, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, and sharp changes in blood sugar or blood pressure require immediate attention.
Health authorities also warned that signs of severe dehydration, including dry skin and lips, indicate that the body may no longer be able to tolerate fasting.
The ministry stressed that preserving life and protecting health should take priority, advising individuals to stop fasting immediately and seek medical care if such symptoms occur.
