Muscat Stock Exchange ends higher as foreign buying lifts market sentiment

MUSCAT : Muscat Stock Exchange “30” Index closed today at 8,027.52 points, marking an increase of 111.4 points, or 1.41 percent, compared to the previous trading session, which closed at 7,916.08 points.

The total value of traded shares reached RO 89,250,368, reflecting a rise of 23.6 percent from the previous trading session, which recorded RO 72,238,099.

According to the report issued by Muscat Stock Exchange, market capitalization increased by 0.429 percent compared to the last trading day, reaching approximately RO 37.61 billion.

The value of purchases by non-Omani investors stood at RO 11,107,000, accounting for 12.44 percent of total trading activity, while non-Omani sales amounted to RO 18,361,000, representing 20.57 percent. Consequently, net non-Omani investment decreased by RO 7,254,000, or 8.13 percent.
