MUSCAT – Oman is facilitating the return of travellers from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to their home nations as part of humanitarian efforts in light of the ongoing developments in the region, authorities said.
In a statement, the Sultanate said it is coordinating with the governments of the travellers’ home countries and international airlines to arrange secure and organised air transport to ensure their safe return.
The move comes as regional tensions have disrupted travel routes across parts of the Middle East, prompting several countries to initiate evacuation and repatriation measures for their citizens.
Oman said the initiative reflects its humanitarian commitment and cooperation with neighbouring and friendly nations, while working closely with relevant authorities and airline operators to facilitate travel procedures.
Authorities noted that the arrangements aim to ensure that travellers are able to return to their countries safely and smoothly through coordinated air transport services.
